Tohatsu's 3.5 is one of our best selling models of all time! Tohatsu packs big features into a lightweight and compact design and at such a great price you would be hard-pressed to find a better value! At just 41lbs, Tohatsu designed the 3.5hp with low weight portability in mind making it a perfect choice for a variety of small crafts and an excellent source of power for sail boaters.

The 3.5hp Tohatsu is available in both a 15" (short) shaft, and 20" (long) shaft version and feature an internal fuel tank (.32 gallon) built right into the motor for hassle-free operation. The forward-neutral gear shift with 360 degree steering allows for maximum maneuverability in any direction. Both the steering colum and twist-grip throttle feature an adjustable tension device that can lock your desired operating position for those longer trips.

Quiet below-the-water exhaust and a patented four point vibration absorbing motor mount allow for quieter, smoother operation at all RPM ranges.

A larger carburetor located on the 3.5hp provides additional power over our 2hp engine for the enhanced boating performance you crave without adding weight.
