TOHATSU 115hp TLDI® Outboard Motor Detailed Features

Individual Monitoring Sensors

individual sensors located throughout the engine provide constant vital engine information to the ECU for maximum efficiency and optimal performance.

Idle Noise Reduction System

The exhaust gases and sound are routed through the labyrinth exhaust sytem. This process reduces the noise level to a minimum when exiting through the idle port. Through-the-prop exhaust effectively quiets the exhaust when the engine is under a load.

Engine Control Unit (ECU)

TLDI® outboards feature a 32 bit engine control unit that controls the fuel injection and ignition timing in accordance to the operating conditions detected by the multiple sensors located throughout the engine.

Air Compressor

One of TLDI®'s essential engine components that is the driving force in achieving stabilized fuel injection.

Direct fuel Injection into Cylinders

The intrinsic design of the chamber on the cylinder head allows the finely atomized fuel mist to be injected near the spark plug to achieve ideal combustion.

Pistons dedicated to TLDI® outboards

Teflon coated pistons (equipped on the 70/90/115hp) are built with a concave shape to the head specifically designed for TLDI® outboards and significantly increase fuel combustion efficiency.

Multifunctional Tachometer

The easy-to-read tachometer informs the operator of potential problems through the meter indicator and warning lamps.

(remote throttle/shift control models only)

Three Stage Trolling Speed Control

The idle speed can be set to any of the three rpm ranges, 700, 800 or 900, by simply adjusting it on the key switch. This feature allows you to select the ideal trolling speed for maximum maneuverability in a variety of current and wind conditions.
