boxes and conversion parts for your Tohatsu
outboard motor. We offer side mount (most
popular) and binnacle (top mount) control
boxes that are designed to provide remote
throttle & shift control for Tohatsu
outboard motors. Side mount control boxes
feature fast idle control, safety stop-switch,
throttle tension knob, and a reversible
handle for universal mounting.
When converting a tiller-handle outboard
to remote control, you will need to purchase
several factory parts to complete the conversion.
You will need the following for most applications:

(conversion kit consisting of several
engine parts necessary to accept control
cables and control linkage on the engine
side under cowling)

Generally, the lower the HP, the lower the
cost.
In
addition to the 4 items listed above, a
steering system (universal - estimated cost:
$175) and the actual throttle/control cables
(universal - estimated cost: $30/each -
2 required) will be necessary. We do sell
these items but recommend purchasing them
locally. In the event an incorrect size
is purchased by accident it is much easier
to make an exchange locally. You will be
able to purchase these universal items at
most marine dealers.
